Izmir Institute of Technology Industrial Design students’ double major and minor programs allow them to gain a broad perspective. With the double major or minor programs offered by the department, students develop their creative thinking and problem-solving abilities by acquiring knowledge and skills from different disciplines as well as the field of design. For example, they can bring a technical and strategic approach to design processes by taking courses from fields such as engineering, communication and business administration. Double major and minor programs provide students with various opportunities in their careers and enable them to be equipped with a multidisciplinary perspective.
