Internships

The internship is carried out in order for students to reinforce the knowledge and skills they have acquired in theoretical and practical courses on industrial design in real design, construction, production and application areas and to learn the applications in the design of products in the real world. Students of the Department of Industrial Design are required to complete an internship during their education in order to be eligible to receive a bachelor’s degree.

In the Industrial Design Department Internship courses education plan, it is determined as ID200 Faculty Workshop Summer Internship following the 2nd Term, ID300 Summer Internship at the Production Facility following the 4th Term, and ID400 Summer Internship at the Design Office following the 6th Term.

The total internship duration is 60 working days;

ID200 Faculty Workshop Summer Internship: 10 working days (2 weeks)
It is held 15 days before the start of the 3rd semester following the 2nd semester.

ID300 Production Facility Summer Internship: 20 working days (4 weeks)
It is held between the 4th and 5th semesters.

ID400 Design Office Summer Internship: 30 working days (6 weeks)
It is held between the 6th and 7th semesters.
