FABLAB Iztech

Fablab is a university makerspace that is a member of Iztech Fab Foundation. Fablab aims to create an environment where almost everyone can bring their creative ideas to life and learn new things, in addition to the course and prototyping needs of students. It has a workshop that provides hand tools and a large working space, and devices that enable rapid prototyping such as 3d printers.

Ceramics Lab

In the ceramic lab of our department, there are 34 tables, 2 sinks with countertops, 2 mud pots, 8 lathes and an oven. Our lab, which has been established in a wide working area with its own warehouse, meets all the needs for working with ceramics.

    

    

 

Central Model Lab

2 technicians work in the Central Model Lab (100 m2) and the Central Metal Works Lab (85 m2), which are open to the use of our department. In the Central Model Lab, there are many tools such as milling, planer, hinge opening machine, bench-top grinding machine, as well as many hand tools such as drills, hand sanders, hair cutting scissors.

 

Central Metal Works Atelier

The Central Metal Works Atelier, on the other hand, has equipment to meet all workshop-type metalworking needs.

 

Central Computer Aided Design Laboratory

In addition, the Central Computer Aided Design Laboratory is at the service of students with 20 computers, A3 and A0 scanners, plotters and A3/A4 printers. The total of thermal and personal computers available to permanent graduate students is 42.
