Theme and Process: This workshop is based on a cultural state where the subjects used to behave as consumers and the objects used to be perceived as design products that encoded much beyond their use value rather to encourage for desires… Through three sub-themes, Imitation/Benzetme, Context/Bağlam and Object Hospital Continues/Nesne Hastanesi Devam Ediyor, we will question the dialectics between subject-object, that has already been lost within the mode of industrial production. We will work on some objects/things (old, broken or with missing parts); and some selected design products (from IKEA). Missing parts will be completed; perfect bodies of design products will be imitated/reproduced and the context problem, related to the ‘Objects of Desire’, will be unexpectedly represented.
