İYTE x KASSEL Workshop
We’ve just completed a vibrant and inspiring 5-day design journey!
Hosted by the Department of Industrial Design at İzmir Institute of Technology (IZTECH) in collaboration with Kunsthochschule Kassel, Produkt Design, our workshop titled “Culture as Object: Designing Through Cross-Cultural Interaction” brought together students to explore how cultural memory and values can be transformed into design.
A very special thanks goes to our participant students — for believing in this collaboration, and for bringing their creativity and openness into every stage of the process.
By combining analog and digital tools, they moved from observation to design insight, and from there to meaningful design directions rooted in integration of the cultures.
It was such a joy to work with our super, super cool creative students from Kassel and IZTECH! You truly made this workshop unforgettable.
We are deeply thankful to our co-coordinators Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nilüfer Talu and Prof. Oliver Vogt, and to our supporting coordinators Zeynep Oğrak and Ceyda Çolak for their commitment and collaboration.
We also express our sincere gratitude to the Rectorate and International Relations Office of IZTECH for their invaluable support. This is only the beginning. 🌍✨
