Programme Outcomes

PROGRAMME OUTCOMES

  • Possess knowledge, skills, and infrastructure to work in academia, industry, and public sectors, effectively participating in national and international projects generated in these fields through self-learning, listening, understanding, researching, observing, analytical thinking, entrepreneurialism, problem identification, creating meaningful forms, and developing skills.
  • Familiarity with computer software and modeling technologies related to designing and production processes required by the field, and ability to use them effectively.
  • Proficiency in theoretical and practical terminology required by the field, capable of communicating, debating, and producing written, oral, and visual communications in English using this terminology.
  • Ability to plan and manage the design-production-post-production processes of an industrial design project incorporating necessary disciplines with environmental, cultural, ethical, economic, and technological approaches.
  • Ability to have societal sensitivity and scientific ethical values in all theoretical and practical research and applications required by industrial design and related fields (communication, semiotics, computer technologies, production technologies, material sciences, ergonomics, psychology, sociology, philosophy, etc.), design and manage processes and organizations with environmental and ethical approaches, and interpret and multiply knowledge obtained from these fields in theoretical and practical contexts.
  • Ability to define the relationship of industrial design with different disciplines.
  • Ability to conceptualize an industrial design project within a given period as a solution to a design problem through research, data collection, and analysis stages; conceptualize with sufficient user analysis and scenarios in terms of number and options, visualize with drawing and modeling techniques, and realize with appropriate materials and manufacturing technologies.
  • Ability to comprehend contemporary issues, historical and everyday life contexts of industrial design, generate original views and critical theoretical thoughts on these issues, and reflect these views in practical applications.
  • Understanding the role and status of industrial design in global and international contexts in social, economic, and technological contexts, and discussing, analyzing, and developing thoughts on the position and role of industrial design in the context of Turkey, and its future.
