The invention titled “Word Toy for Visually Impaired Children,” designed by Nilüfer Talu and Pelda Sevgi, was registered as a utility model by the Turkish Patent Institute on August 21, 2024.

This invention describes a toy designed for both visually impaired and sighted children to play together, promoting the development of their vocabulary. The toy consists of a cylindrical base with tactile symbols that serve as clues for words. It also includes movable discs featuring Braille and Latin alphabet letters. These discs rotate on the cylinder to form words, with magnets integrated into the discs and the cylinder to prevent slipping.
