The invention titled “Foldable Hanger Canopy for Household Product Protection,” designed by Nilüfer Talu and Mehmet Yılmaz (Mech. Engineering), has been granted a utility model patent by the Turkish Patent Institute on November 21, 2024. The invention is a portable shading and covering system for the protection or drying of household items, which can be fixed to balcony railings of different sizes. It features a high folding ratio with a curved opening/closing mechanism. When closed, the system folds into itself, creating a compact form with a box (1) and a lid (2). The box (1) can be moved forward/backward linearly and fixed in intermediate positions. The system includes a linear brake (6) connected to the box (1), 10 tent holders (8) where a canopy (9) is fixed to create an enclosed area, a table (7) to achieve a flat surface within the enclosed space, and support arms (4) to increase durability and support the table (7). To close the side surfaces, snap-on tents (10) are fixed to the support arms (4) and moving parts (3).
