Our invention application with the number 2023/003791 has been registered as a PATENT by the Turkish Patent Institute!

The work titled “An Experience Toy,” carried out by Nilüfer Talu (Industrial Design) and Tarık Kadak (Mechanical Engineering), has been granted a PATENT by the Turkish Patent Institute on March 3, 2025.

The invention in question pertains to an experience toy that contains three channels of different radii, positioned perpendicularly to one another, with no connection between them. These channels house three independent balls of varying radii that can move independently. The part does not have any entry or exit holes. The objective is not to guide a ball to a target but to provide vibrations and audible feedback based on the movement of the balls inside the part, utilizing gravity. The experience is shaped through intermediate-level movements formed by the elbow and wrist, and cylindrical grasping. The core of the experience lies in manipulating the three channels and their corresponding balls, through swinging, twisting, and rotating movements, simultaneously. The experience is guided by touch. There are no openings through which the balls in the channels can exit the toy, which is entirely enclosed in the form of a cube or cylinder. Despite being positioned perpendicularly and independently within the closed system of channels, the balls’ movement can be related, formulated, and reasoned according to the laws of gravity, as the toy is moved. During this experience, the user can predict and reason which ball would fall in which position or which ball rolls slower by interacting with the toy at different angles or by moving it. This prediction is based on the differences in the sizes, weight, and the sounds produced by the balls.
