You are cordially invited to the exhibition presenting the project outcomes produced within the scope of the 4th Year Industrial Design Studio course, coordinated by Dr. Selin Gürdere Akdur, which will take place on Wednesday, January 21, at 14:00, at URLADAM.

The studio projects were structured around the context of social design and the theme of “fire,” and were developed through a multi-stakeholder, participatory, and intensive research-based process. Throughout the studio, the aim was to move beyond an approach focused solely on the production of products or objects, and instead to cultivate a process- and value-oriented design practice capable of intervening in crisis situations.

The works presented in the exhibition engage with real needs identified in collaboration with stakeholders, while also emerging from a collective design process that is critical, aims to keep social memory alive, and seeks to generate awareness. In this respect, the exhibition is conceived not merely as a presentation of outcomes, but as an open space for dialogue that invites the audience to move beyond passive observation and become involved in collective thinking and production processes.

As the first exhibition organized by our department outside the university campus, we would be delighted to welcome you to this event.
