Refik Burak Atatür is the Co-founder of Petri Strategic Design Studio. After graduating from METU Industrial Design in 2004, he worked as a product and lighting fixture designer for four years. He then moved to Los Angeles to complete his master’s degree in Human-Centered Strategic Design and Design Research at the Art Center College of Design.
During his time in the U.S., he served as a design and strategy consultant for the American Red Cross, focusing on increasing revenue and improving public interaction systems during and after disaster periods. He also worked as a designer at the Quirky Social Product Design Platform.
After seven years of experience in a London–Istanbul-based experience design agency, working on numerous architecture, UX, and service design projects as a researcher, strategist, designer, and director, he founded Petri Strategic Design Studio in 2020.
