We would like to announce an achievement as a reflection of the collaboration of Industrial Design and Computer Engineering departments.

Buse Bayar, our 4th grade student from IZTECH Industrial Design Department, and Emre Karaduman, Cüneyd Çelik, Kerem Şenyurt and Matin Huseynzade, students from IZTECH Computer Engineering Department, came together as a team; They participated in the “Best For Wind” Wind Energy Ideathon organized in cooperation with Teknopark İzmir, İzmir Development Agency, İzmir High Technology Institute and Energy Industrialists & Businessmen Association – ENSİA. Their project was to develop an innovative system that would balance semi-submerged offshore turbines with moving chains with the support of artificial intelligence. This system aims to provide sustainable and efficient solutions in the field of wind energy. As the ‘EkoWinds’ team, our students came in second and won a prize of 20,000 TL. We congratulate our students and wish them continued success.
